Life 365: 120-123

Sunday: Jeff and I made a trip to eville to pick up some last minute recital stuff. And had a date. We absolutely stuffed ourselves. This is a cruddy cell phone pic of our fave restaurant with some goodies... we had sushi, fire scallops, terriyaki chicken, and I am drooling thinking about it..

Monday: My 1st two blog books came in.

They are beautiful, my picture is icky. Don't judge ha

This is exactly why I started blogging so long ago and what now will drive me to more content and continued posts! On to print 2010 and I'll be caught up.

Tuesday, I made the round trip to see a few good men and their mama.
I got so caught up in chatting and snacking with my gal pal.. I nearly forgot to snap a couple pics of this cutie. She made me a delicious salad with a ridiculous dressing. I mean, who makes their own dressing! YUM She was unscathed by having a forth boy in the house. Don't listen to her otherwise. She is a natural!
Jen makes the cutest dudes around and all come with very funny personalities,

each different from the other.
Nash wanted to snuggle the whole time, and I obliged :)

Wednesday we hung around and cleaned.
I heard "cheeeeeese" several times behind and me turned around to find this. Leah, the photog.
She was snapping pics of me, Ayla, and a few self portraits... I am guessing with a timer? ha
But really, its just my tripod she pulled out of the closet. ha

Leah Hope turns two

April 15, 2011 Leah Hope turned two. I know I am off a little, but I wanted to get her development post up before I got too far behind. We are so proud of Leah!

Alot has happened in a year....

I remember the day I took these... taking the yellow dress out of the closet and laying the blankets down to snap some pics of the girls on Leah's birthday. Her first birthday.

Now she's two.

The yellow dress does not fit anymore. In fact, she is nearly as tall as her big sister. But, one thing has been constant. Sisterly bond.

Ayla and Leah are great together. I know they are all they know. But, if one isn't home the other is asking "why" or "where". They play well together and fight alot! ha I couldn't have chosse two better friends- complete opposites but they unite.

Leah Hope at 2 yrs old....

Speaking well beyond her age. Communicates like a 3-4 yr old. Learning her colors and can distinguish some usually yellow and pink. Learning shapes, knows circle, heart, triangle, diamond. Can say how to spell her name. Can count to 12.

Leah-isms: Leah has lots of funny sayings....like

Me: Don't do that Leah Leah: oh mannn

Me: Leah, did you potty in your diaper Leah: Nope, its good

Very tall for her age... approx 30 in tall, guessing 30 lbs ha Wears 2t-3t clothes shoes 7-8

Faves: dancing, imaginary play, dress up, being outside, Snow White, movies

Fave Foods: fruits, carrots w dip, anything sweet, hot dogs

We are so proud of Leah and are so happy God has chosen us as her parents. I never dreamed life would be as great as it is now with our two little ones. Leah continues to be strong willed, smart, and so busy. She keeps us on our toes and continuely laughing. She makes us work as parents! But, life would not be as full without her.

Ayla & Leah's Puppy Party

This weekend marked two big days.
Ayla turning 4
&
Leah turning 2

Our puppy party was so much fun.
Such a crazy week that lead up to the big day.
But I am glad it came, and very glad its over! ha

A good time was had by all.. pizza, loads of sweets, great weather, lots of friends and family. What more could a couple girls ask for? We had a pinata and played pin the bow on the puppy. The weather was the best day we had in a long time. The girls were blessed beyond measure with gifts and cards and love. Thank you all SO much!

I can't express how blessed I feel to have my children surrounded by such wonderful family and friends. I know our girls will always have loving adults or peers around them :) Thank you to all who sent warm wishes and helped us celebrate another wonderful year with our girls!

Life 365: Party Prep- its all in the details

I am a details kind of girl.

No matter how much I plan or fore-think situations, I wish I would have done more.

Because a good party is all about the details.

We had such a great time at the girls party, but I was a mess. I was setting up tables and bits-pieces til right before our guests arrived.
I tell ya though, once the pizza was here and people were eating, I plopped down on the floor. ha I forgot to take pics of my girls in their bday shirts and my guests hanging. Instead I sat on the floor and gabbed with some girl friends.
And I felt better. :)

Full party post coming up...
