Most Boring Lunch Ever!

We are running out of ideas for lunch.
I mean check out this sad plate!

Raw vegis, cold turkey, bean dip and cheese.
Though I am not winning any Mother of The Year awards with this lunch.. I did technically cover my bases in the food groups!

Im pleading for you Mamas out there to help me out with lunch ideas.
Especially with school starting soon and not to mention fresh fruits & vegis won't be as readily availiable!

Bring it on!

These aren't very original but maybe will remind you of something you haven't had for awhile...
My girls love turkey wraps with shredded cheese and baby spinach. Or mini subs...they think it's cool to pretend they are working at subway and make it themselves. :) Homemade applesauce with a sprinkle of cinnamon b/c they think it's fancy. Not super healthy but my girlies love little wienies wrapped in crescent rolls. Celery with peanut butter and raisins on top. Yogurt turned into frozen pops. Princess Spaghettios... sometimes I toss in peas and they don't even seem to notice.:) Hope that helps a little. I'm excited to see what others have to say!

No kidding, try packing a lunch for school! Blah, I wish I hadn't started that...it's only $2 at school and I'm pretty sure mine adds up to $10! We have ham and turkey alot or left overs from the night before! It's soooo hard to think of lunches and then you have to turn around and think of something for dinner!

No idea, i struggle everyday for lunch for myself! ha ha. I usually end up eating a bunch of odd stuff like carrots, cheese stick, chips and salsa, whatever fruit i have. . . usually just a little try of odds and ends.

I'm out of ideas as well so I'm anxious to look at the other responses!

not super healthy- but my kids both love cooked spiral noodles (i buy whole grain) and velveeta cheese melted to make "homemade" mac n cheese- be generous w/ the milk you add so the cheese won't be "too" cheesy!

I am not a great lunch "cook" and I am sure the teachers at Theo's school wonder what we're thinking. I send/make refried bean burritos, alfalfa sprout/tomato/cucumber sandwiches, whole black beans with sour cream, cheese/crackers/avocado, mixed nuts/dried fruit, mushroom/cheese quesadillas, pintos/rice, mac/cheese with peas mixed in, English muffin pizzas, hard boiled eggs etc. We eat our fair share of pb & j and spaghetti-o's too :-)

And I forgot hummus! We buy the readymade but you could make if you're hardcore. Put on crackers, bread, veggies etc.

I follow your blog through the Yoder Family Blog. I just read an interesting blog post. It's fun ways to dress up the lunches. Thought this might help you, although it's not really recipes. Have fun!

With you, here! I saw an idea once I thought was really cute. You can get each of your girls a 6-hole muffin tin and fill it...one spot for veggie dip and then one spot for the veggies, a spot for fruits, like grapes or cut up cantelope, cheese cubes or cut up turkey, ect....the possibilites are endless and the kids LOVE THEM!
