Being a Character

The characters were amazing at Disney. I tell you they really have this figured out. Every character, Princess, or 'cast member' they were happy, polite, and never broke their role. It was refreshing. You could tell they really loved their job, which is hard to find around here.

Ayla was in LOVE with Mickey.

We waited in line for 45 minutes to see the Big Cheese the first time. We really didn't know how she would react. Honestly, she really hadn't encountered a costumed individual. We don't do the whole Santa thing and though she likes Hatch from afar he intimidates her up close.
We made it into the room with Mickey & Minnie. Keep in mind there were 3 families in front of us. Ayla's eyes met Mickey's and it was ON. She pushed through the line yelling "MICKEY". Under the rope she went. Jeff with the video camera and I with a baby we were in shock and unable to catch her. To tell you the truth, we were laughing so hard. Minnie Mouse ushered her back to her place in line, where Ayla stayed and stared until her turn.

From that moment on no matter what happened that moment made the trip worth it.

Regardless, the trip was amazing. Very few meltdowns, safe travels, 2 teeth dropped for Leah, lots of food, some sun, and memories were made.

We had dinner with all the Princesses. Ayla would get very excited. For those who don't know her well she is a very cautious, somewhat shy girl. She talked non-stop until said princess arrived at the table. She stared, hid her face, answered their questions, hugged each of them and held their hands. It was precious. As soon as they walked away she would smile from ear to ear and say "I wanna do it again". We met Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella, Belle, & Snow White. Before arriving for dinner we met Mulan- who proceeded to kiss Leah on the forehead.

We also had lunch with the Playhouse Disney stars. Little Einsteins and & JoJo Circus were there. So cute. Ayla got up and danced and sang with the performers. She definitely loves to dance- watch out Miss Britty!

We also saw Playhouse Disney LIVE- both girls loved the lights and songs. Plus all the favorite shows were represented.
